Join us for the debut performance of Luminia, a trailblazing chamber string orchestra made up of some of Spokane’s finest musicians, led by violinist and Gonzaga Music Department faculty members Jason Moody and Michael Kropf. The program will include the enigmatic Entr’acte by Pulitzer Prize winning composer Caroline Shaw, as well as the joyful Saint Paul’s Suite by Gustav Holst.The concert culminates with preview screening of Love, Eleanor, a short narrative film directed by GU Theatre & Dance Professor & Robert K. and Ann J. Powers Chair of the Humanities Charles M Pepiton, with a live score composed by Kropf. Love, Eleanor follows a young art historian who travels to a Greek island to document its icons. Along the way, she encounters unexpected wonders that move her to reconcile with a former lover. The film was shot on location in Greece in April 2025. The cast includes GU alumna Elizabeth Spindler, in the title role.
