Join us on Friday, June 28th at the second floor of Sidney & Berne Davis Art center, for a night of self-expression, movement exploration, and mindful meditation. We will begin with glow-in-the-dark face and body painting, transforming your body into an illuminated canvas.
As vibrant colors fill the room we will transition into a 45 min movement meditation and ecstatic dance workshop guided by yoga instructor & ecstatic dance facilitator Lorena Ribero @ukulore.
You will be led through a transformative exploration of breath, movement, and sound. Accompanied by immersive and rhythmic beats that will bring you into your primal nature and surrounded by amazing visuals and light projections curated by artist Israel Alpizar (@aye_eye_creative), we will be channeling energy within and around to enter a state of freedom and bliss.
Finishing with a transformative and relaxing 45-minute sound bath healing session with singing bowls and gongs led by Come to Life Yoga facilitators. (@cometolifeyoga @taleoftherabbit)
Aligning with the Summer solstice season and the solar storms happening in June the theme for this Luminance edition is "Solar trance" which we will use to focus on the fire and strength within, as a reminder to step into our power. Come be yourself, gather your friends, or turn it into a thrilling solo adventure for an unforgettable evening of connection and joy.
What to bring:
- Yoga mat.
- Blanket and pillow to be as comfortable as possible during sound healing.
- Bottle of water.
- Loose and comfortable clothes to move freely, (we encourage you to be creative with your outfit and use this as a form of self-expression)
- An open mind!
