Lafayette Urban Ministry operates a food pantry in downtown Lafayette — the LUM Protein Food Pantry. It features proteins, produce & paper products. Local families in need are able to select canned and frozen meats & fish, fresh fruits and vegetables, beans & legumes, peanut butter, diapers and paper products. High carb foods & snacks are avoided.Details about the LUM Protein Food Pantry are as follows:
* Days/Hours - Monday from 1 to 4 p.m. & Thursday from 10 a.m. to Noon
* Location - St. John's Episcopal Church, 6th Street, downtown Lafayette, IN
* Open to Tippecanoe County residents only, Adults (at least 18 years of age)
* Must show proof of residency
Pantry Items (always depends on availability):
* Meats & Fish - Frozen & Canned
* Beans, Legumes, Lentils – Dry & Canned
* Peanut butter
* Fresh Produce: Fruits & Vegetables
* Paper Products: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Napkins, Facial Tissues
* Baby Food, Diapers, Wipes
* Feminine Hygiene Products: liners, napkins, pads, tampons, wipes
