Come and experience the majesty of the moon, suspended beneath the central tower of Lincoln Cathedral. The Cathedral will provide a spectacular backdrop for the stunning installation which measures seven metres in diameter and features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon’s surface*
Luke Jerram’s ‘Museum of the Moon’ has been seen by many thousands of people in venues all over the globe and we are delighted that the cathedral will play host to such a popular art installation.
Learn more about the installation by visiting the Museum of the Moon website: https://my-moon.org
The moon will be open to the public between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Saturday and from 12noon to 3pm on Sundays.
Adult admission charges apply. Children can visit for free.
