Oh hey! We’re Lucy & Yak Brighton, your favourite little pink shop by the sea. This Pride Month, we are so thrilled to be hosting the launch of Chloe Howarth’s debut novel, Sunburn.
You can expect:
- a celebration of queer fiction!
- an interview with the wonderful Chloe Howarth
- a chance to share your questions in a Q&A with the author
- the opportunity to purchase a copy of the book on its release date and even get it signed!
Sunburn is a tender portrayal of first love, adolescent anxiety, and the realities of growing up in a small, traditional town. It follows Lucy as she begins to make sense of herself during a long, hot summer, when a spark with her friend Susannah escalates to an all-consuming infatuation, and very quickly to a deep and devastating love.
The author, Chloe, grew up in the West Cork countryside, which has served as an inspiration for her writing. She currently lives in Brighton. Sunburn is her debut novel.
Please note the main shop floor is accessible via a very small ramp. The space will have a small amount of seating and plenty of standing space.
The closest toilet facilities are located in the pub opposite but these are not wheelchair accessible.
