Farmer experience sessions Sessions are designed for children aged 5 years and above, giving children opportunities to get up and personal with the animals, sessions cost £15 per child.
Staff (myself) are fully DBS checked and first aid trained (a registered nurse at Torbay hospital) I operate a strict health and safety policy with hand washing/hand gel facilities.
when everyone has arrived age appropriate level of health and safety chat will kick start the session followed by a tour of lucky clucks including instructions surrounding the compost toilet, during this chat explanations of what each animals needs will be explained so the young farmers know the sessions expectations, then the jobs begin...
letting the animals out
giving the geese/pigs/horse/turkeys and chickens their meals
mucking out the animals
making treats for the pigs
drink and snack time
egg hunt
cleaning out the chickens
making chicken treats
having some "down time" with the chickens
field maintenance, muck spreading, fencing checks and W**d pulling
parents will start to arrive and children can show their parents/caregivers their hard work before receiving their end of session certificate.

farmers will need to bring
wellies or good gripped trainers
if hot will need sun cream and sunhats
if cold will need gloves, hat or a coat with hood
drinks and snacks will be needed
