This is will be a Dualsport/Adventure bike style ride with paved and dirt roads (mostly dirt). There WILL be some sand as it has been dry of late. Street biased tires are not advised. Bikes fully loaded with luggage not advised. Carry only what you really need as weight is your enemy 😉 Nothing super technical though. We will have a late lunch (1:30-2pm) at Woody's BBQ in Centerville. The route is approximately 210 miles from the start/send point at the Smiley's Shell Station on the North side of Huntsville. Some roads will be similar to last week's ride, but there are lots of new ones as well. We should be back in Huntsville sometime around 4-5pm.
If you are trucking/trailering your bike to the start location, there is a Park-n-Ride lot at the intersection of FM 247/2821, just before you go over the hill to the Smiley's station. The Smiley's has a full grill and seats inside if you want to get breakfast or just sit in the AC until we start. The weather is supposed to be sunny and in the mid 80s, PERFECT.
KSU 9:00am. (NOT the normal 10:00am!!)
