— just a little curiosity and a willingness to learn and experiment.
What is a Lucid Dream? A lucid dream is a dream where you realize that you are dreaming, while you are in the dream. Thus, you also realize that the world you see around you is simply part of the dream and not part of waking reality. You can learn to become lucid in the dreams you have each night.
This course explores the theory, practice, and benefits of lucid dreaming, as well as daytime and nighttime practices to stabilize and deepen lucidity, aid dream recall, and help you become lucid within dreams. Concepts will come from the modern practice of lucid dreaming and may also draw upon Tibetan dream yoga practices.
Learn to fly, walk through walls, befriend dream figures, and more. Lucid dreaming can reduce nightmares and anxiety by allowing greater control within the dream. It can also enhance problem-solving and creativity by unlocking the subconscious, potentially improve motor skills through dream practice, and provide profound insights into the nature of the mind. We’ll explore techniques for remembering dreams, as well as both daytime and nighttime practices for becoming lucid and navigating the dream world.
Every class will be different and somewhat building on the previous one, but each class could be taken individually as well as a series. Audio recordings of missed classes will be available for those who sign up for the entire series.
