Sankta Lucia Dag, or Santa Lucia Day, has a long and storied history in Sweden. In Sweden, Lucia day is celebrated during the darkest time of the year, allowing for Lucia (clad in white and adorned with a crown of candles) to bring light to a dark world and usher in the Christmas season. Our traditional all Swedish St. Lucia concert will take place on Friday, December 5th at 7:00 PM at First Lutheran Church, located at 225 S. Third Street. This annual event brings the holiday spirit with traditional Swedish songs and a candlelit processional.
