About this Event
Tango Fado at Argentine Consulate
This program delves into the intricate connections between tango and fado, as well as other musical genres that have been profoundly influenced by these two styles. It features renowned classics by Carlos Gardel, Amalia Rodrigues, Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Paredes, and original compositions. The program features Lucía Caruso from Argentina on piano and Pedro H. da Silva from Portugal on Portuguese and classical guitars. Both composers are dedicated to preserving and innovating their respective countries’ musical traditions: tango and fado.
