Come Make a Scene with us! Campers will explore the parts of a scene; the characters, the set, the costumes and the story. They will learn basic stage direction and theatre skills while coming up with their own Scene to perform.
This is story telling with the actions of on stage performance!
There will be a final showcase of their Scene at the end of the week.

Director: Thurston Williams
Thurston Williams is a UNC Charlotte, Theatre Performance Alumni. Thurston's first professional acting experience comes from Ensemble Stage in Banner Elk, where he stared in "The Fisherman and His Wife" and "The Princess and the Pea" as a part of their Summer Children's Theatre Shows. Thurston has had the privilege of performing for Young Audiences across the United States in "Holidays Around the World" and "Stone Soup" with Bright Star Touring Childrens Theatre. Other notable credits include working with Community Theatre of Greensboro during their Theatre Summer Camp Classes and Production Camp for Aladdin Jr. He also loves Shakespeare and has been a part of several shows with Shared Radiance Performing Arts Company. When not on stage Thurston enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, family and friends.

CAMP POLICIES
GENERAL
Each of our summer camps focus on enabling campers to experience the fun, excitement, and challenge of performing live theatre while developing their own talents, strengths and skills. The Little Theatre accepts all children, regardless of their level of ability or experience. Campers will learn stage blocking, lines and music (as applicable), as well as a variety of theatre elements, including character development, voice and diction, costumes, stage movement, and production etiquette.
Before Care will Run 8:30am-9:30am; After Care will run 4:30pm-5:30pm.
Campers can purchase a t-shirt during online registration for $15.

Need Based, sliding scale scholarships are available. Email for details.
PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
Tuition must be paid in full at least one weeks prior to the start of camp for your child to attend. In the event that The Little Theatre cancels a camp, a full tuition refund will be made. If a student withdraws from camp up to two weeks prior to the camp start date, they will receive a 50% refund; no refunds will be made after that.
Needs based scholarships are available on a first come-first served basis.
