Our next meeting will be at the Tandy in Southpark Meadows at noon on Sunday, July 7th. Our project will be dying techniques, including the marbling.Supplies:
- As always, the leather (rounds) will be provided
- You may want to bring scrap leather to test with
- dyes and applicators (brushes, daubers, sponges)
- paint pallet (I will have some small ones there)
- gloves (optional)
- paper towels
- wet wipes
- something to paint on (like cardboard)
- spray water bottle
If you don't have some of the items listed, I'm sure there will be some to share.
For our trading cards, the suggested theme this month is Music. If you wish to participate, bring a trading card approximately 2.5" x 3.5" that you have created (tooled, stamped, painted, etc.) to trade with other guild members.
Our additional optional at-home project is to work on something with a snap.
Also for those wishing to become or remain members, if you haven't paid your dues yet, now's the time. If you're a first time member your first month is free. If you decide to continue with us, it's a prorated fee - $2/month through December. Otherwise, it's $24 for the year or $45 for a family rate.
If you are planning to attend, RSVP to the email after it's sent out or respond on the Facebook event so we have enough leather for everyone.
