About this Event
Join us for a discussion of LSU’s strong history of producing science-based plays and a preview of the upcoming LSU SciArts Playfest, which is a collaboration between the College of Music & Dramatic Arts and the College of Science to host a national competition for science-based plays. The event will culminate in three leading playwrights coming to LSU for workshops and staged readings of their plays. In this edition of Science Café, you will hear from LSU faculty members Vince LiCata, George Judy, and Marina Deyoe-Padraza as they discuss science plays produced at LSU over the years and what makes a “good science play.” The SciArtists will also provide a preview of the plays to be presented at the upcoming LSU SciArt Playfest.
