LOVE/SICK by John Cariani is a play consisting of 9 scenes – each between 2 people. As the name suggests, the subject is love and the conflicts are many. In one scene a woman receives a singing telegram from her boyfriend. The telegram, instead of being wonderful, is a break-up telegram. In one scene it is a couple’s wedding day and at first one is nervous and doesn’t want to get married, and by the end of the scene the feelings are reversed. In another scene a wife plays a prank on her husband to spice up her boring life. The playscript calls LOVE/SICK “an unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone.” The circumstances are believable but the situations are sometimes absurd in this dark yet amusing romantic comedy.Directed by April Hubbard
LOVE/SICK performs February 27, 28 and March 1 at 7:30 pm and March 2 at 2:00 pm in the Robert Fawcett Auditorium.
