Travel out to the Lower Portals carpark at the end of the Lower Portals Road. The hike will be in two parts:
1. A visit to the Lower Portals
2. On to Barney Gorge campground
From Barney Gorge campground we come back down Mount Barney Creek to Barney Falls and Lower Portals. Swim through to Lower Portals (150m) or climb ridgeline and down to Lower Portals.
Bring a strong plastic bag to put backpack in and use as float for swim through (short) to Lower Portals.
Meet at 7:30 am at Tamborine Visitor Information Centre for carpooling.
