Originaire d’Oxford, Low Island se forme en 2016. Le groupe enregistre plusieurs EP qui remportent de jolis succès, influencés principalement par les sons de Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem et Talking Heads. Le groupe anglais est même défendu par Double J, Phil Selway de Radiohead, Peter Gabriel, BBC Radio 1, 6music et Rolling Stone en Allemagne ; et compte Dayglow et Glass Animals parmi ses fans.
Le quatuor anglais sort sur son propre label Emotional Interference son premier album en avril 2021. Encensé par la critique, If You Could Have It All Again atterrit second sur iTunes dans le classement des meilleurs albums au Royaume-Uni, et à la 17e place des meilleures ventes d’albums.
Dans cet opus, Low Island y parle avec mélancolie mais aussi optimisme de la vingtaine souvent caractérisée par les déceptions, les chagrins d’amour et le conflit cyclique, qui mène ensuite à un avenir plus prometteur.

Tight Lips is designed for audile-collage to express the bodied experience. The creators met in two thousand fourteen when Abdon posted to newyork.craigslist.org/search/muc.
They helped produce live events at Park Churh Coop from 2015 to the end of the decade and it was there that Nearly Nude’s live piano was recorded late one night in the altar room. The Cut Up Method was applied while constructing Tight Lips; starting with drum and bass riffs, then creating auditory cutouts from those recordings and collaging them like the mixed media of @portiswap1 ‘s digital art.

Growing up in New Jersey, Ryan came upon music by way of his father's vast record collection and after school jam sessions with friends. A handful of bands and albums later, Ryan relocated to New York City and began releasing music under his own name with the release of his debut EP, Postures produced by Luca Buccellati (Arlo Parks, Tei Shi). The EP immediately drew the attention of Noisey, Neon Gold, DIY, Clash, and others.
