Loving-Kindness meditation (Metta meditation) began in the Buddhist tradition thousand of years ago. The practice is intended to help us feel love for all beings everywhere, and asks us to include ourselves. When we practice a Loving-Kindness meditation, we choose to focus on the interconnectedness of life and idea that we all deserve love.
What is also wonderful about this practice is that numerous studies have shown that it brings immense health benefits. Possibly the one we need most right now being lowered social stress levels.
