A beautiful and inspiring play about love, time, and memory, Lovesong tells the story of one couple told at different points in their lives, as young lovers in their twenties and as worldly companions looking back on their relationship. We see the highs and lows of this relationship as their past and present selves collide in this haunting and beautiful tale of togetherness. Past and present literally intertwine as the older and younger couples move around each other across the stage in a house full of memories of their marriage.
Lovesong was written by Abi Morgan, the multi Emmy and BAFTA award winning creator of The Split, River, Suffragette and The Iron Lady and was first performed to wide acclaim in 2011 by Frantic Assembly.
Inspired by the T.S. Eliot’s poem, The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, Lovesong is a play that speaks to all generations.
