About this Event
-Loveray- performing their luscious Sound Healing / Sound Journey / Ecstatic Dance spectacle in Laingholm / Titirangi / West Auckland, Fri29 & Sat30 Sep 2023 at Langholm Village Hall, 69 Victory Road.
After 2 incredible successful events in August that raised over $500 for Lara, we are coming back to do it again in September!
Lara Sutherland is a young living Legend!
She sums up her life and the miracle of life itself in her own words (See below).
We are thrilled to announce the details of our interstellar band -Loveray- performing their luscious Sound Healing / Sound Journey / Ecstatic Dance spectacle in Laingholm twice in September to support Lara's Journey:
This is a FUNDRAISER for Lara, a very very special young woman who has spent many of her youthful 16 years in hospital nursing not one, but TWO liver transplants.
Her journey is one of great miracles and unconditional Love.
She has a dream to perform in the 2023 HipHop Dance Champs in Portugal in October and we will get her and her whanau there, with your support....

Lara has grasped the gift of life (the recipient of TWO liver transplants) and through her joy of dance (Hiphop and Kpop)she has been invited to represent NZ at the 2023 HipHop Champs in Portugal in October.
Now it's our mission to FUNdraise to get her, her whanau (along with her Dance Team "Rangers") there and show the world what she can do.
Step in -Loveray- and friends, and DJ Refraction offering 2 magical nights of talented entertainment, and creative dancing after a shared Community Pot Luck Kai and a Sacred Cacao Ceremony.
-Loveray- perform a multi-instrumental Sound Healing Journey (also known as a SoundBath) tuning into the Earth's love harmonic frequency of 432Hz, with exotic instruments including Sitar, hand-pan, crystal singing bowls, flutes, violins, and sacred tribal instruments.
People are encouraged to lie down or get comfortable and relaxed and allow the sound vibrations to carry us on a mystical journey to the outer cosmos and back.
The -Loveray- set culminates with an invitation to rise up and move our bodies with an ecstatic dance vibe to tribal drums and funk rhythms.
And the night will pick up from where the live music takes us with infamous West Auckland's DJ Refraction (aka Kale Watsup ) keeping us on our toes and on the dance floor.
The artists above are donating their performances so the money raised will help Lara and her team be able to travel to compete in the 2023 Hiphop Champs in Portugal. Her Dream coming true!!

See you there!
From Lara:
"My name is Lara Sutherland, I’m 16 years old.
I love animals, helping others, writing and dancing.
I was diagnosed with a rare liver disease, Biliary Atresia when I was a 6 week old baby and became incredibly ill.
I was blessed with a liver transplant at 7 months old which aided me to be able to live a fuller life.
Unfortunately, I became sick again in 2013 and spent most of my time in the hospital up until I was gifted another liver transplant in 2016, when I was 9.
Ever since then I have been able to experience things that normal kids and teenagers would be able to experience and even found a deep passion for dancing.
I have come a long way from where I began and am proud to announce that I and my hip hop crew have been chosen to participate in world championships for hip hop in Portugal.
I’d really would love to attend but need help raising funds to get there, if you can offer help I would be so grateful."
From Samantha, Laras Mum:
"Beyond proud of my girl and her team Rangers, who qualified for Hip Hop Unite World Champs in Portugal this October!!! This gorgeous girl has overcome two liver transplants, multiple surgeries, years of hospital and daily ongoing pain, thru hard work, determination and most of all her love of dance (both kpop and hip hop). She just loves to perform and compete and dancing is the one thing that has kept her going through some really tough years.
We will be planning our fundraising because I’m not sure how we will afford this so if anyone has fundraising ideas (for team and for Lara) please let me know, if anyone wants to sponsor Lara personally or with their business, and if anyone knows of contact/temp work I can mostly do at home (I’m a bookkeeper, small business office management, website updates & optimisation but can do lots more) please hit me up with ideas! Thanks"
