An interactive evening for our Junior Landcarers!Join us for a fun family evening to learn all about the elusive and endangered bittern through games and activities *suitable for kids and kids at heart. We will then head out to Grovetown Lagoon at dusk and practice bittern survey techniques. Have you ever been in a wetland at night?!
The Love Bittern Project is dedicated to empowering community-led conservation of Australasian Bittern | Matuku-hūrepo, and we are excited to team up with Conservation Kids and Grovetown Lagoon to bring you this event.
Junior Landcare is a 3-year partnership with NZ Landcare Trust and the Bupa Foundation, and aims to promote health and well-being through environmental stewardship and intergenerational collaboration.
