About this Event
Love Mischief embark on a sonic journey through many musical landscapes on a mission to open hearts and minds. Founded by guitarist/vocalist Brian Curtin in 2013, Love Mischief has blossomed into one of Nor Cal’s freshest, hungriest jambands. Educated at the prestigious Berklee School of Music and soaking up influences from all realms, Curtin helms an underground assassin squad of some of Sacramento’s most dangerous weapons. Keyboardist Neil Heaton is at the top of that list. He’s an ultra-jazzy, improvisational instigator, painting ribbons of melody across every available surface.
Curtin is a virtuoso who will blow you away with his technical abilities and wild imagination. He is a tonal master who explores effects unlike you've ever heard. He forms quite the team with his brother Colin Curtin, also a guitarist/vocalist. Expect a woven tapestry of funk, psychedelic rock and jazz fusion with focused improvisation as the common thread. The band places a strong emphasis on original compositions with ambitious songwriting. Their selection of cover songs (think Grateful Dead, Phish, Pink Floyd, Beatles, etc..) is thoughtfully chosen and played like their lives depend on it. After blowing the audience away here last October with their mashup of Abbey Road and Dark Side of the Moon, we are eager to see what the next chapter holds for this band.
