Creative writing collage workshops that celebrate pride of place, creative and collective identity and writing for wellbeing.
About this Event

We will be discussing the ways in which our love for our place has brought us to life, inspired our creative minds, or given us places to reflect on our wellbeing!

We'll be starting with a couple of icebreakers to inspire collaborative poetry, following into collaging and discussion about pride for place. We will be engaging with a few Q&A style writing tasks relating to the image materials of County Durham, then looking to pull certain words and phrases into our collages. To finish we will have short reflection and summary of the session and aim to have our pieces finished in order for them to be entered into the pamphlet publication.

Open to all ages 18+, no creative experience necessary. You're more than welcome to bring your own collaging materials too!

The first of four workshops throughout the months of October-December. This project is funded by NoMoreNowt, Into the Light, Northern Heartlands and Culture Durham.
