Love Connection [VDAY SINGLES MINGLE EDITION]

Matinee Social Club is hosting another singles mingle this Valentine's Day.

It's a Matinée party, so you can expect a lovely evening of conversation, dancing, & pizza (included) that ends at 10pm with a beautiful crowd of 30 something singles. BUT Mingle is going to be slightly different.

For our previous singles mingle, we were super strict. This time, we're in a larger venue and it's Valentine's Day, so we're loosening up a bit as none of us should be at home alone.

• Singles in their 30s (a bit older or younger is fine)
• Any orientation is fine, but to set expectations, it will likely be mostly women seeking men, men seeking women
• Everyone must bring a friend of the opposite sex (but we'll also allow an additional +1 as well). WARNING: This will likely upset the perfect equilibrium, but for this event we're more just focused on singles community and we're all united in singles shenanigans.

In order to come, you have to bring single friend(s). (That's why all tickets are sold in minimum of a pair.)

At least one of the friends has to be of the orientation of someone you'd want to date. If you want to bring a third person, we'll allow it this time.

We're going to keep it pretty unstructured. No speed dating or organizaed icebreakers, more so we're just wanting to throw a dance party where you know everyone will be single and in your age range. While we too hope to find love, but expectation-wise let's all just come to party and meet cool singles, whether for love or friendship.

We'll have a DJ that'll escalate as the night goes on and we'll serve pizza around 7:30pm as well (included with ticket).

Tbh it'll probably be a lot of old school R&B and future R&B and love/lust songs from various decades, but we're gonna keep the music brief loose and go where the crowd wants to go. If y'all wanna get rowdy, we'll get rowdy. If y'all wanna get classy or romantic, we'll do that.

We'll be in Chinatown at The Crown, a tasteful penthouse rooftop bar in Chinatown with views of the city and a roof deck. It's a mid-sized space that holds ~150 people.

Per usual, nothing too strict, but it's a singles event, so just be the best version of yourself.

Nightlife pretty much only caters to 20 somethings. Matinée wants to change that.

We’re working to create a space where our fellow Millennials and beyond can step away from adult responsibilities and let loose for a while – creating memories with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.
