“A JOURNEY THRU’ JAZZ”
A special concert dedicated to the great jazz composers and players featuring jazz icons such as Louis Armstrong, Earl Hines, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Johnny Hodges, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Lester Young.
TAD NEWTON’S JAZZFRIENDS are one of the most respected and entertaining outfits on the British jazz scene, with their adventurous and eclectic repertoire gaining plaudits wherever they perform. They regularly headline events and festivals including the Upton Jazz Festival, Birmingham Jazz Festival, Bromyard Music Festival, Fest-Jazz in Brittany France, Keswick Jazz Festival, Debenham Festival and Teignmouth Jazz Festival. Recent concerts have included Wantage Jazz Club, The Stables at Wavendon, Ongar Jazz Club, Droitwich Jazz Club, Beoley Jazz Club and five highly successful appearances at The Spice Of Life.
2023 marked the band’s 40th anniversary!
