Thanks to our partners OHD Studios, 502Film, Women in Film Ky, Louisville Film Society, After Hours Films, Campbell Talent Casting, Turner Casting!
We want to see more Kentucky projects get made, but there is a lack of opportunities for creatives to learn how to really develop a script and refine it like they do in bigger cities via table reads and screenwriting groups and opportunities to pitch.
Every quarterly pitch event will feature a pitch session where chosen presenters will have 7 minutes to present their pitch decks to a panel of professional producers, directors, execs, investors and others with valuable feedback. (The panel switches up each time and the focus of the pitches are to gather feedback. If someone in the panel or audience take an interest in your project, GREAT!) Once the pitches and feedback are done, the audience may ask the panelists questions for about 20 minutes before open networking.
Our panelists this month:
Frank Dietz, Bryn Silverman and James Michael Marshall are the 3 primary panelists this quarter, but we may have a couple others join us! We are terribly excited to have all three of these well established Hollywood pros in town at the same time to share feedback with us.
Who is welcome: All film and tv or theater industry, film enthusiasts and those just curious about the process. It benefits actors, crews, writers, producers and anyone interested in film and TV to better understand how the pitch process and business works. Presenters can utilize the opportunity to gather/meet crew, actors, etc from the audience who may be helpful to their project.
