The goals for the 2024 Louisiana WIC Conference are:
- Facilitate Inter-generational Dialogue
Foster meaningful conversations and knowledge exchange between different generations of participants, including seasoned WIC professionals, emerging leaders, and community advocates. Create dedicated sessions and workshops that encourage the sharing of experiences, insights, and innovative ideas. This goal aims to leverage the diverse perspectives within the WIC community to strengthen collaboration and empower each generation with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in nourishing lives through WIC services. - Highlight Success Stories and Best Practices:
Showcase and celebrate the achievements and best practices of WIC programs over the past 50 years. A block of rooms has been reserved for La WIC Conference attendees at the state rate at the Hilton located at 104 Market St in Shreveport. Below you will find the reservation link to use when making your reservation for accommodations before the cutoff date of February 13:
Cut-off Date:
All reservations must be made by February 13, 2024, in order to receive the discounted group rate. The hotel will continue to accept reservations from guests after this date, however, rooms will be at the prevailing rate and subject to availability.
