The elements of Line and Space are fundamental to all Ikebana schools. Within the Sogetsu School these elements are incorporated in Ikebana arrangements through an artistic, or design viewpoint. The demonstration will explore the use of line and space from naturalistic through to modern/contemporary Ikebana arrangements.
Following the lecture/demonstration, a workshop will follow at 1:30PM which will explore Line and Space through the creation of structures made from “unconventional materials.” For students of all levels. Reservations due by October 29th. $40 members; $45 non-members. Only 24 seats are available, so sign up as soon as possible since these workshops fill up quickly.
