At some stage in our lives, we all have the heartbreaking reality of sending a loved one to hospice to be comfortable at the final time of their lives.
For my family that time came for us in 2020 with the passing of my much-loved Dad, David Morrison.
This year in conjunction with my brother Wade Morrisons’ second fundraiser Davestock; I have decided to shave my hair to raise more much needed funds for hospice for the amazing time everyone got to spend with my Dad in his final days.
I started growing my hair in high school after my Dad told me short hair made me look like a boy! Ever since my hair has been long. My Dad took pride in his appearance especially his hair, after the loss of his hair after one of his treatments and receiving a wig from Cancer Council I’ve decided this year I would shave off my mane in his honour; with my own hair to be turned into cancer wigs.
The funds being raised will be given to Albany Hospice. Ron’s Barbers are kindly donating their time and will be kindly shaving it live at Davestock (Time TBA).
