Leroy Virgil has been playing music that is honest and raw since 2004. There is none of the modern pop slickness that passes for country these days. Virgil's music is as real as the grime and grit on old abandoned buildings in small towns like Reno NV, Butte MT, Aberdeen WA, and Woodland CA. "Basically I set out to write simple country songs in a simple language about my life and the lives of my scumbag friends and that is something you can't get away with anymore in Nashville" says Leroy Virgil.
Virgil's band Hellbound Glory has clocked thousands of mile on the road playing dive bars and honky tonks across the country and abroad. The humor inherent in Leroy's life on the edge mindset shines through the bleakness with passionate full-throttle delivery. His rowdy style meshes the best of country's past with the freewheeling abandon of the present day.
