From September 15-October 15, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and recognize the beauty and importance of the Hispanic and Latino communities. Their histories, cultures, arts, and achievements have strengthened this country and left a lasting legacy at Hot Springs National Park. We invite you to join us on Saturday, October 5th from 3:30 to 4:30 PM at the Fordyce Visitor Center for a fun game of loteria with our park staff.
The program is free to the public and offered in English and Spanish. There are no real prizes except, of course, for bragging rights with your family.
Loteria is a picture-based bingo-style game that is very popular in Mexico.
How do you play?
Each player will receive their own gameboard with Hot Springs-related images. A host will draw cards with the corresponding images from the deck. If the card matches a player’s image on their gameboard, then the player places a chip on the picture!
First player to cover the entire gameboard and then shouts “loteria” wins!
Join us for this family-friendly event and practice your Spanish-speaking gaming skills!
