For the past 3 year Waterfront Historical Fencing has hosted an outdoor open event showcasing Historical martial arts to the public. For our 4th year, on Sept 13th, we will be hosting an Invitational, armored fighting tournament. Historical armored fighting, also known as 'harnesfechten' details the methods medieval knights would use to dispatch a fully armored opponent, using polearms, swords daggers, and grappling techniques. We will be showcasing at least 8 fights simulating these kinds on knightly duels in an enclosed MMA cage.
Attendance is free; we will have bleachers and seating for spectators. Stay tuned as we will be showcasing the fighters and matches that are scheduled through out the event.
If you are a HEMA fighter, and would like to be a part of the event showcase, we will have spots open for exhibition matches in between armored bouts. Where you can have duels in the cage for the public. contact us for details.
