Los Yesterdays was born in Pasadena, CA, in 2017, when drummer/producer Gabriel Rowland and singer/songwriter Victor Benavides set out to capture the essence of their Chicano roots. Influenced by R&B legends like Little Anthony, Gene Chandler, and James & Bobby Purify, their music evokes memories of vinyl grooves and heartfelt storytelling. With the help of producer/guitarist Tom Brenneck (known for his work with the late Charles Bradley) and Daptone Records co-founder Gabe Roth, Los Yesterdays evolved from a duo into a dynamic full band by the summer of 2018.
Their hit single, “Nobody’s Clown,” has racked up over 12 million views, and their monthly Spotify listeners exceed 400,000. The band has shared stages with icons like Lee Fields and The Expressions, the Ohio Players, Thee Sacred Souls, and Brenton Wood. As they prepare for the release of their highly anticipated debut album, Frozen In Time, in May 2025, this show will give Bakersfield fans a sneak peek into the soulful future of Los Yesterdays.
