About this Event
As of 2022 Los Angeles ranks 78th out of the 100 largest cities in the US in terms of park access, amenities, equity, acreage and investment according to the Trust for Public Land ParkScore. While there is a significant lack of open park space throughout the county, low-income communities of color fare much worse.
Over the past 20 years, we have worked to address these inequities by creating 29 parks and gardens that serve over 400,000 Angelenos who live within walking distance of our spaces. Through public policy advocacy, we have helped generate millions of dollars in public funding to support parks, gardens, and natural and recreational facilities in Los Angeles County and the State of California. We currently have our largest project under construction and have six more projects to follow. By the end of 2022, the LANLT will have added 8.5 additional acres of greenspace to Los Angeles County, serving an additional 20,000 people and more to come.
LANLT will hold our 12th Annual Garden Party on Thursday, June 16th from 5pm – 8pm. The Garden Party is the LANLT’s signature fundraising event that generates critical operating dollars to support park and garden development as well as free programming throughout Los Angeles. The evening will host city officials, corporate sponsors, philanthropists and activists from all over the city and highlight the impact we are making, neighborhood by neighborhood, community by community, family by family.

Our goal is to raise over $130,000 for these efforts!
