This is an open event as pods form and shift around throughout Prerelease weekend, we encourage participants to arrive at the start, however it is intended as a casual event in which you may join at anytime throughout the evening, check with the Accidentally Cool Games clerk during the event whom will be more than happy to help.
Prerelease is your players' first opportunity to get their hands on the newest Magic: The Gathering release and explore what the set has to offer. Prerelease Packs contain everything a player needs to be guided through deck building and begin facing off in epic one-on-one matches.

What is Commander Box League?
Offered during the Prerelease period, Commander Box League is a Sealed event in which players open a Play Booster box, build a 60-cardCommander deck, and play in Commander Box League games throughout the Prerelease period.
Players will open their Play Booster box, they construct a60-card Commander deck from the contents. Buy-a-Box and Commander promos may not be used in deck building.

- Decks may include multiple copies of cards opened from the Play Booster.
- Any legal commander opened is allowed.
- Color identity rules in deck building are ignored; players may build decks with any colors they want, regardless of their commander's color identity. Note: commander color identity still applies when cards refer to color identity (for example, with Arcane Signet).
- Players may adjust their decks between games using cards from their Play Booster box.
- Players purchase a Play Booster box as part of entry. Games are played with normal Commander rules, but deck building follows modified rules for Commander Box League.
