***First Prerelease Event?
Sealed is a great format for checking out new cards without needing to have a constructed deck built before the event. Unlike constructed games—where you arrive with your strategically created deck—in a sealed deck tournament, you build a new deck from six unopened booster packs and your promo card from your prerelease kit!
The guidelines require that you build a minimum deck size of 40 cards, but you can add as many basic lands (Plains, Islands, Swamps, Mountains, and Forests) as you’d like, even if they weren’t in the booster packs you opened. You can have as many copies of a card that you opened from your Prerelease kit, and you may play any card from your packs, regardless of whether or not it’s banned in constructed formats.
