Mad for Miniatures – Lorcana Franchise Showdown TournamentEvent Overview:
This is a Standard Lorcana Constructed Tournament… with a Disney twist! Each participant will randomly select two Disney franchises and build a deck using only cards from those franchises. Deck construction follows the Standard Lorcana rules, except you may use all six ink colors regardless of franchise alignment.
Franchise Selection Rules:
Franchises are divided into three categories based on the number of available cards:
🟢 Easy – Large card pool
🟡 Intermediate – Moderate card pool
🔴 Hard – Small card pool
Players randomly draw two different franchises from any category:
- You may only have one "Easy" franchise.
- You may not have two franchises from the same Disney property (e.g., two Frozen sets).
- Players will be given a score for each franchise based on the number of unique cards available in that franchise.
(e.g., Beauty and the Beast = 73 cards, Lilo and Stitch = 42 cards → total score = 115)
Deck Building Guidelines:
Follow all normal Standard Constructed Lorcana rules:
- 60-card minimum
- No more than 4 of any card with the same full name
- Valid card legality (sets 1-8)
- You may use any ink colors
- Only cards featuring characters, locations, or items from your two selected franchises may be used.
Who Goes First?
In each match, the player with the lower total franchise score goes first!
Example:
Player 1 Franchise 1 - Beauty and the Beast (73 - Easy)
Franchise 2 - Lilo and Stitch (42 - Intermediate)
TOTAL = 115
Player 2 Franchise 1 Encanto (43 - Intermediate)
Franchise 2 Snow White (41 - Intermediate)
TOTAL = 84

Description
All players will add 1.5 booster Packs to the Prize Pool. Each Player will receive atleast 1 booster packs. All other remaining packs will be given in a scaled fashion to top place finishers.
e.g. 8 players adds 12 packs to the prize pool. 8 will be given out as participation the remaining 4 will be given to the top performing players on the day.
There will be a tournament organiser who will oversee the event and make sure it runs smoothly.
The event will be sanctioned through The Hub so you will need to sign up to that to take part - this is free and we can show you how to do this if you don’t know how!
