Loops & Laughs: Crochet Basics with Austin Crochet Club
Have you ever wanted to crochet but didn’t know where to start? 🧵✨
Join us for a cozy, hands-on workshop where we’ll cover all the basics of crochet—from holding your hook, to learning foundational stitches, to creating your very first piece! This beginner-friendly class is perfect if you’ve never crocheted or want to brush up on the essentials in a relaxed, social environment.
Here’s what we’ll do:
- Get comfortable with your hook and yarn – Learn how to hold and move your hands like a pro.
- Master the starter stitches – We’ll practice chaining, single crochet, and double crochet.
- Create your first mini swatch – By the end of the class, you’ll have a small piece of crochet that you made yourself!
You’ll leave with the skills to start simple projects, like dishcloths, coasters, or even a granny square, plus the confidence to keep creating. We’ll have warm, friendly instruction, lots of encouragement, and a low-stress, high-fun environment.
This is crafting for the soul—perfect for a creative night out, a new hobby, or just a reason to slow down and make something with your own two hands.
