The Sweetwater Preserve is an 880-acre expanse located in the eastern foothills of the Tucson Mountains, offering a quintessential Sonoran Desert experience just minutes from the city. Its landscape is defined by its dense "forests" of cacti and its rugged, rolling terrain.Winter weather is nice enough to explore the Sweetwater Preserve area. There are multiple trails and different options of routes.
I am organizing an easy 7.3 miles loop hike to cover Black Rock Loop and Sun Circle loop, then continue on Ocotillo Trail, etc.....
We are going on a moderate pace to enjoy the views, spring flowers, and most important, to spend time making new friends or catching up with old friends.
