Look2Justice's 5th Annual Symposium: The Real Cost of Incarceration
Join Look2Justice and our partners for the 5th Annual Symposium, a gathering dedicated to uncovering and understanding the true cost of incarceration.
Every year, the United States spends nearly $200 billion on imprisonment. But the impact goes far beyond financial cost. Millions of people are incarcerated annually, causing devastating and lasting harm not only to those behind bars but also to their families, communities, and society as a whole.
This year’s symposium will feature:
- Keynote Speaker: , founding Executive Director of Berkeley’s Criminal Law and Justice Center, a leading hub for policy and advocacy.
- Talking Circle: Hear directly from young adults whose parents are serving extremely long Pr*son sentences, and learn about the profound impact of parental incarceration.
- Facilitation & Hosting: will guide us through the day with wisdom and care.
