February is Heart Health Awareness Month, and Go Red Day is celebrated on Feb. 6. This national campaign helps to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease, the #1 cause of death in the U.S.. We encourage everyone to focus on heart health through education, prevention and lifestyle changessuch as healthy eating, exercise, stress management and quitting smoking.
Wear your red and join us anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Spartanburg Medical Center's All Spice Cafe, to learn more about your heart by touring the inflatable MegaHeart. Our heart wellness staff will be on site to answer any questions and our chefs are making a heart healthy lunch that will be available for purchase.
