As the school holidays approach, to encourage children to keep reading and hopefully avoid the notorious “summer slide” in literacy levels, I will be running a Look for a Book event in Tuam town 🤩This is a fun way to get children out in the fresh air, off their screens, and getting a bit of exercise too! 🏃🏼♀️🏃♂️
The plan is to hide books in and around the town over the holidays for the children to find, with clues given out on social media by way of a dedicated Facebook group 👌🏻
The child who finds the book takes it home to read and then either keeps it or re-hides it if they wish 😊
So far, a total of 400 books have been sponsored by generous local businesses and individuals 👏🏻
With lots more pledges already in the pipeline, this is shaping up to be a great event 🤩

You can sponsor a book for as little as €1 and there is no minimum donation 👌🏻
For your donation you will receive a book plate in each of the books you sponsor (great advertising for businesses!) 👏🏻
You will also be thanked and acknowledged in the Look for a Book Facebook group 🤩
If you are a business you will even have the option of hiding all of your books in your premises for your littlest customers to find 🥰
