Highlights
Longshaw Estate National Trust site with woodland trails, tearoom, and visitor centre.
Start by heading through Lawrence Field and down into Padley Gorge. Padley Gorge Ancient woodland with Burbage Brook running through. Follow the gorge downhill towards Grindleford Station.
We will then head off through the iconic and historic Bole Hill Quarry. Climb through moorland to reach Higger Tor and Carl Wark, ancient hill forts with panoramic views. Stanage Edge iconic gritstone escarpment popular with climbers.
Return via Burbage Rocks Descend back toward Longshaw Estate via moorland paths or woodland trails.
