The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to join Education Specialist Tommy Nordmann on a one-mile hike through Longleaf Pine Preserve. Discover the beauty of pine flatwoods, oak hammocks, and palm hammocks. We’ll hike on a new section of the trail that has just been completed.
** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program.
ACTIVITY: This will be a moderate hike.
RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.
TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.
AGES: Ages eight and up are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes that can get muddy and/or wet, comfortable clothing for the outdoors
WHAT TO BRING: water, bug spray, sunscreen
FACILITIES: There will be no bathroom facilities on site.
