Longest Night Service of Healing and Wholeness Wednesday, December 17 at 7pm
Our annual Longest Night Service is a unique time in the Season of Advent where we name the hardships of the season brought about by loss. This intimate service features music, lighting of candles, reflections and a homily. We gather in the sanctuary atop the chancel in the round.
All who find the holidays to be a time of loss and sorrow, and those seeking to be supportive are welcome to join us for a special service of healing, wholeness, and hope in our Sanctuary. The Longest Night Service takes its name from the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, but it is also known as Blue Christmas for the profound loss and pain many experience around the holidays. This peaceful service is open to members, friends, and the larger Wauwatosa community.
