Looking forward: Long Island’s Economic Outlook for 2025
Where is Long Island’s economy headed in the coming year? With inflation and interest rates finally falling, how will this impact daily business and personal activities, and what does this mean for business? While high housing costs and taxes continue to be a concern on the island, LI has continued to grow with median household income (2023) at $121,000 significantly higher and unemployment significantly lower than the rest of the NY metro area or NY state. We will explore the prospects for future growth and possible headwinds the region faces in 2025.
