London Luton Airport Charity Runway Race

Tickets are £25 per person (plus £2.33 booking fee) the event will start and finish at the Mid Term Car park. The run will be 4.342k.

All runners will promptly start at 4:30 am and finish at 5:30 am.

You can park in the Mid Term Car park. You will be given a car park exit ticket upon finishing the race so that you can exit the car park. Parking is limited, therefore, please car share as much as possible.

All runners will need to be searched by security before starting the race.

Registration is at 3.30 am, this will give you enough time to sign in and get ready on the bus (which will take you to the start line) from 4.20 am.

It is a prompt start at 4.30 am. If you are late to register, you will NOT be able to take part in the race.

All non-full airport pass holders must bring a valid photo ID (a passport or driver’s license/provisional license photo card. Nothing else will be accepted). Failure to provide these valid photo IDs will result in you not being able to take part in the event.

Please print off the Runway Race Disclosure form sent to you via email. Complete the form with the ID you will be bringing on the day of the event and sign. Failure to produce this at the run will result in you not being able to take part in the event.

All runners will be issued with high visibility vest which must be worn throughout the event. If you have your own high-vis jacket, please feel free to use it.

Make sure everyone’s day stays fun and safe by following these rules:

• Places are limited so you must register for this event in advance. If you receive a place but for any reason cannot take part, please let us know as soon as possible. Your place is not transferable.

• The entry fee is non-refundable, this charge goes directly to our charity partners, Luton Foodbank and East Anglian Air Ambulance to raise sponsorship.

• All participants are responsible for their own medical condition. If you are in any doubt about your health or ability to complete the Runway 5K run you should seek advice from your doctor before registering.

• Participant registration will be at 3:30 am at Gate House 6a, London Luton Airport Fire Station, Adjacent to Mid Term Car Park, Airport Way, Luton, LU2 9LY.

This event is just under 5K. You will start at the beginning of the runway, get to the end of the runway and turn back finishing where you started.

There will be staff across the runway ensuring your safety.

Once you have completed the run, please go straight back on the bus you travelled up to the start line on.

There is a 5.30am departure from the runway, therefore, if anyone hasn’t completed the run by this time, they will be picked up in a security vehicle and be bought back to the bus.

Mobile phones are permitted, but runners are not permitted to film at the Security checks.

There is no place to store personal belongings, therefore, please bring bare minimum items.

Water bottles are permitted, only one per runner.

Headphones will not be allowed on the run.

This is NOT a timed event and running numbers won’t be issued.

There are NO toilet facilities.

There will be photos taken of the event, please show us your best plane arms.
