We demand a People's Vaccine (South): https://www.facebook.com/events/1606810942850177/
As AstraZeneca holds its Annual General Meeting to decide whether to hike their vaccine price, we will be protesting outside their AGM in central Cambridge.
We are making 3 demands:

1. Keep it affordable!
AstraZeneca must resist the demands of its shareholders this AGM to hike their prices this summer. The company should commit to keeping the vaccine at cost price for all countries.

2. Share the technology!
AstraZeneca must share the technolgy and know-how with the Covid-19 Technology Access Pool (C-TAP), the World Health Organisation facility set up to share COVID-19 technology - instead of keeping life-saving technology secret.

3. Suspend the patents!
We call on the UK government to stop blocking Global South demands for COVID vaccine patents to be suspended (a TRIPS waiver). These demands have been put forward by India and South Africa in the WTO because it would allow the Global South to manufacture vast quantities of COVID vaccines saving millions of lives. The UK along with other rich countries are blocking the proposal.
We want a people's vaccine, and the end of big pharma.

Join us for a day of speeches, open-air workshops and performances to talk about the Global North - Global South divide, and why we need a people's vaccine.
