About this Event
In this interactive workshop you'll tap into the excitement of London 2012 by sharing and listening to remarkable life-changing stories from that time.
We’ll create artwork which will be used to produce commemorative banners for display in parks across Newham to celebrate ten years since the Olympics came to London.
This workshop is suitable for individuals and families (with at least one accompanying adult to up to two children 13 years and above), to attend.
Organisers Eastside Community Heritage (ECH) have interviewed people who were involved in the opening ceremonies and have uncovered amazing stories about how taking part led people to find love, lasting friendships and even new careers. Join us to find out more.

Accessibility
London Stadium Learning is based at London Marathon Community track Club House – underneath WHUFC Stadium Store.
The entrance is from the car park at the end of Sidings Street. There is limited disabled parking available if needed but as the car park is small please try to pre-arrange parking to avoid disappointment.
During weekdays our car park use is very limited as we share the access road with Bobby Moore Secondary Academy next door and have to take in to account the safety of children on the road.
London Stadium Learning is fully wheel chair accessible and there are disabled toilets available for your use.
*If you are unable to attend please cancel your ticket to allow people on the waiting list to attend instead*
