Brethren,MARK YOUR CALENDERS!! On Sunday June 1st, 2025 Lombard Lodge #1098 A.F. & A.M. will be having its 6th Annual Picnic and Shotgun Shoot at Aurora Sportsmen's Club.
This event is open to All members of Lombard Lodge, their wives, children and guests.
We will be meeting at the Aurora Sportsmen's Club in Waterman, Illinois (Directions Attached) at 11:00 am. While there, you will have the opportunity to learn to shoot clay targets. If you are experienced in Shotgun Shooting you will be able to compete against your fellow lodge members for the chance to be named "Lombard Lodge Sportsman of the Year." The picnic will consist of Submarine Sandwiches, Chips and Drinks.
You are welcome to bring your own firearm and ammunition in safe operating condition. However, please remember only target loads, shot sizes 7 1/2, 8 or 9, are permitted. No reloads are allowed. Both lead and steel shot are allowed. If you do not have your own equipment there will plenty of participants who will brick extra firearms to use. If you do have an extra Shotgun please bring it for your Brethren's use. Everyone, including spectators, must wear safety glasses and hearing protection within 30 feet of the shooting areas.
You are not required to have a FOID card to participate, however you will not be able to purchase ammunition in Illinois, so if you do not have a FOID Card please let us know how much ammunition you would like to have, 25 Shells in a box, ~$8.00 per box, and ammunition will be supplied for you to use the day of the event only, You can not take ammunition away from the fields without a FOID Card. (Proceeds from ammunition will contribute to the costs of the event. All ammunition must be used the day of the event, none can be taken home.)
Members of Both Lombard Lodge and Aurora Sportsmen's Club will act as Range safety officers and will be available for instruction at each station. (Doug Bonfield, and Brad Gerace)
Costs:
ASC Members: $0.00 event fee $12.00 Lunch Contribution
Participants (who are not ASC members) event fee of $10.00 and $10.00 Lunch Contribution
All participants needing ammo: $9.00 x Number of Boxes)
All participants: $5.00 for each round of trap or skeet (5-stand if available: $6.00) (These are Official Games of Trap and Skeet, Not the ranges we typically use.)

You will need to bring payment in Cash with you the day of, and please fill out the attached safety waiver for all participants. One of the safety officer's will sign them when you get there.
