Festival Highlights:
- Lumberjack & Lumberjill Competitions: Witness both professional and amateur competitors showcase their skills in events like the two-man saw and axe-throwing.
-NEW! Lumberjack and Logging Museum featuring a Lumberjack Encampment which is filled with interactive educators dressed in the outfit of The Lumberjacks who will share the history and details of the items Lumberjack camps from the 1800's!
- Sidewalk Sales: From Thursday through Sunday, explore downtown Newaygo's local merchants offering special sales on various items, including clothing, books, and handcrafted gifts.
- Food Truck Frenzy: Enjoy a variety of culinary delights from numerous food trucks, offering everything from BBQ to gourmet snacks and sweet treats.
- Vendor Village: Browse through a bustling marketplace featuring unique crafts, souvenirs, and handmade treasures, supporting local artisans.
- Parade: On Sunday, experience the grand parade showcasing vintage logging equipment, local floats, and celebrating the rich history and community spirit of River Country.
Additional Activities:
- Live Wood Carving: Observe artists transform logs into intricate sculptures throughout the festival.
-Vendors: Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both days, featuring a variety of artisans and vendors.
- Newaygo Fire Department Annual Breakfast: Start your Saturday with a hearty breakfast from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newaygo Fire Department.
- Marshall Memorial Run: Participate in the 22nd Annual run on Saturday at 9:00 AM.
- Water Ball Battle: Watch the Newaygo Fire Department's fun competition on Justice Street at 3:00 PM on Sunday.
